Membership Qualification Criteria
Applicants for REALTOR® membership must hold and maintain a current, valid Missouri real estate broker’s or salesperson’s license or must be licensed or certified by an appropriate state regulatory agency to engage in the appraisal of real property and must be actively engaged in the real estate business. Each office shall designate one REALTOR® Member who shall be responsible for all duties and obligations of Membership. The “Designated REALTOR®” must be a sole proprietor, partner, corporate officer or branch office manager acting on behalf of the firm’s principal(s) and must meet all other qualifications for REALTOR® membership. The “Designated REALTOR®” is referred to as the “Participant” of the Multiple Listing Service. All licensees affiliated with a Participant are required to join the Multiple Listing Service or the “Designated REALTOR®” must fill out a Multiple Listing Service Waiver form listing those agents names who do not wish to join.
